Choosing an online appointment and booking system
Clarify calendars, capacity, cancellations and team needs before starting a booking project.
Map service and capacity rules
Duration, service type, staff or room capacity, preparation time and working hours determine availability. Showing a calendar alone may not be enough; the rules should match daily operations.
If you have multiple locations, staff or resources, plan how customer choices map to them. Include exceptions and closed days in early discussions.
Keep the customer flow clear
Customers should find a service and time in a few steps and understand whether a request was received or confirmed. Ask only for information you need and make the form comfortable to use on mobile.
Cancellation, rescheduling, late arrival and approval rules should match your business policy and be visible in the interface.
Review integrations and data responsibilities
If you need a connection to a calendar, customer system or payment provider, review API and access conditions early. Do not assume every provider offers an integration.
Decide who can access booking data, how long it is retained and how cancellations update the schedule. Completing a simple first flow can keep the scope manageable.
